1This is the book of the origin of human beings. On the day God made Adam, He made him according to the image of God.
2Male and female He made them, and He blessed them and called their name Adam, on the day He made them.
3Adam lived two hundred and thirty years and begat a son according to his form and image, and named him Seth.
4Adam’s days after he begat Seth were seven hundred years, and he begat sons and daughters.
5All the days Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years, and he died.
6Seth lived two hundred and five years and begat Enosh.
7Seth lived seven hundred and seven years after he begat Enosh, and begat sons and daughters.
8All the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years, and he died.
9Enosh lived one hundred and ninety years and begat Kenan.
10Enosh lived seven hundred and fifteen years after he begat Kenan, and begat sons and daughters.
11All the days of Enosh were nine hundred and five years, and he died.
12Kenan lived one hundred and seventy years and begat Mahalalel.
13Kenan lived seven hundred and forty years after he begat Mahalalel, and begat sons and daughters.
14All the days of Kenan were nine hundred and ten years, and he died.

18Jared lived one hundred and sixty-two years and begat Enoch.
19Jared lived eight hundred years after he begat Enoch, and begat sons and daughters.
20All the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty-two years, and he died.
21Enoch lived one hundred and sixty-five years and begat Methuselah.
22Enoch pleased God for two hundred years after he begat Methuselah, and begat sons and daughters.
23All the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years.
24Enoch pleased God, and he was not found, because God transferred him.
25Methuselah lived one hundred and sixty-seven years and begat Lamech.
26Methuselah lived eight hundred and two years after he begat Lamech, and begat sons and daughters.
27All the days Methuselah lived were nine hundred and sixty-nine years, and he died.
28Lamech lived one hundred and eighty-eight years and begat a son,
29and named him Noah, saying, “This one will give us rest from our works, from the pains of our hands, and from the earth that the Lord God has cursed.â€
30Lamech lived five hundred and sixty-five years after he begat Noah, and begat sons and daughters.
31All the days of Lamech were seven hundred and fifty-three years, and he died.
32Noah was five hundred years old, and Noah begat three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
