Editorial guide

This reading edition follows the selectedRahlfs–Hanhart Septuaginta, second revised edition (2006), as presented by the German Bible Society. All 859 Greek verses were reviewed against that main text; the paired comparison was also reviewed against the Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia main text, fifth corrected edition (1997). Source labels, order, clauses and significant repetitions are retained.

The reading uses source numbering: 5:20–26 corresponds to conventional English 6:1–7, and 6:1–23 to English 6:8–30. Notes below cite the source labels; the companion also supplies the conventional map. Göttingen and BHS apparatus collation remains unavailable, and disputed animal, lesion and bodily-condition identifications are qualified in the companion.

The notes distinguish source observations from attributed rabbinic and Christian reception. All forty existing reception attributions were checked in primary passages; no claim is made to exhaust historical reception or supply an independent publication review.
